The Education Improvement Partnership in East Hampshire formed in the Summer of 2009 and is made up of 44 maintained schools and Alton College across all ages ranges: Infant, Junior, Primary, Secondary and the Post-16 sectors to improve the life chances of children and young people aged 0-19. Through the Local Children’s Partnerships, Schools, the College, Children’s Centres, Extended Schools, Police, Health, Social Care and the Voluntary Sector are all involved in working together in the strong belief that joint actions make a significant difference to children and young people and their families.
The 44 schools and Alton College pool resources to deliver a range of innovative developments. This is an entrepreneurial use of resources, especially for schools with small budgets, which would otherwise not be able to afford it.
Activities include:
- Raising standards in English and Mathematics and their relevance to the working world
- Developing the special talents of gifted children and young people
- Closing the attainment and achievement gap for disadvantaged and vulnerable children and young people
Please see the Education Improvement Partnership website for more details and events.
